Acting Out Ink Fest 2018

The 5th annual Acting Out Ink Fest is going down March 9-11 at the Hudson Theater in Hollywood.

  • 22 plays
  • 22 directors
  • 56 actors
  • 22 female playwrights
  • 3 inspiring days of Acting Out INK!

I’ll be appearing in two shows this year:

DALTON by Dagney Kerr
Tom and Bertha are expecting their first child. Agreeing on a name for this child invokes a hilarious, heightened, passionate, colorful conversation that hopefully they can make it through and keep their marriage intact. This heartfelt comedy truly raises the question, “What’s in a name?”
Part of the “Living Giving Life” block on Friday at 2:00pm and Saturday at 2:00pm.

WE WILL NOT DESCRIBE THE CONVERSATION by Eugenie Carabatsos
Inspired by a missing scene in Crime and Punishment, we meet a massage therapist whose latest client has arrived with news that her estranged brother has committed a heinous act–murdering an old woman with an axe–and is nowhere to be found. As they try to piece together how this happened, their own dark desires and fears will inevitably be uncovered.
This is the Late Night Feature playing once on Saturday at 11:00pm.

The theme for this year’s Ink Fest is:

I can’t go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.

Lewis Carroll

The festival begins at 2:00pm on Friday, March 9, and continues every 90 minutes through Sunday night, for a total of 20 45-minute performances over the course of the weekend. The 2018 INK lineup includes 19 short plays all under 30 minutes plus 3 feature length one-acts. And there are many ways to experience INK Fest! Day passes, VIP packages & single show tickets are available.

ART will flood not just the theater, but also the street and the Hudson Cafe, serving wine & beer all weekend long. Don’t miss the opening night party Friday night after the Opening Night Feature sponsored by Fat Sal’s and Velvet Margarita! Or our inspiring closing night ceremony on Sunday, celebrating the weekend. There will be hundreds of artists of all kinds gathering all weekend long to share their ART, you’re not gonna want to miss a moment!

Inspecting Carol

Enter the world of a down-on-its-luck theatre company and their haphazard attempts at staging their annual production of A Christmas Carol. When rehearsals are at a standstill, a horrible actor shows up to audition for the show, and the company — assuming he must be an undercover inspector from National Endowment of the Arts — offers him a role. The company is wrong, of course, and thus sets the stage for a madcap, hilarious farce of holiday proportions!

Get in the holiday spirit with liquid spirits as you enjoy the show at the Three Clubs bar on Santa Monica and Vine in Hollywood. The show plays in the second room stage where a full bar is ready to serve your indulgences with libations throughout the night. Drink, laugh, and be merry during this comical farce as we try to not totally destroy your image of A Christmas Carol. No promises.

Inspecting Carol features the numerous talents of Kim Dalton, Alli Miller, Nicholas Rubando, Kate Bowman, Francesca Manzi, Jessica J’aime, Mitchell Turner, Juan Lozano, Chris Lanehart, Amber Bracken, Danny Fetter, Taylor Baker, Skip Pipo, and Kevin Herrmann.
