Spirits of the Force Special Edition

SPECIAL EDITION RELEASED 12/17/2005

The premiere of Spirits of the Force Special Edition happened at the Atomic Comics Fan Film Festival in Mesa, Arizona. Ironically, we started the film at 11:38am — to a full house of local Star Wars fans, including Star Wars author Michael Stackpole.

Synopsis

Kyle Katarn returns to the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV seeking Master Skywalker’s advice on a familiar disturbance he senses in the force. During his visit, he sees some familiar faces… some friendly, some not so friendly.

Why a special edition?

Producer Joel Cranson:

“We wanted to do a special edition for a couple of reasons. One of them being when I wrote the first film, I really wasn’t sure at the time what we were entirely capable of doing with special effects. Now with some of the things we are working on for Fool’s Errand, we have the opportunity to bring the original film up a notch. Another reason for the special edition is to better tie the film to its upcoming sequels.”

“Kyle Katarn will return for a very intense new scene as well as Jaina Solo and Spince Larrin. The character of Kit Parson will be explored further in these additional scenes as well. Fans of the Dark Forces: Jedi Knight game will also be pleased to see a couple of new faces in the film as well.”
