Your Married Friends – Living Room Series

The Blank Theatre in Hollywood hosts a new play development program—called the Living Room Series—which puts a work-in-progress on its feet, giving the playwright a chance to workshop it with actors, a director, and a venue. The shows are minimally staged with actors carrying scripts in hand.

I’ll be joining them for the one-time performance of Your Married Friends, written by Emma Jeszke and directed by Laura Stribling.

After several failed attempts at conceiving a child and one brutal miscarriage, Jen is left wondering where to take her life, and her marriage. In the midst of her grief, it seems that everything is effortlessly falling into place for her best friend, Angela—in her relationship and in her career. A deep dive into the nature of relationships and female friendship, Your Married Friends tells the story of two very different couples trying to navigate love, loss, and parenthood.

The show will be Monday, April 10 at 8:00pm. Admission is free but donations are encouraged.
